Keshia and Gregory traveled from out of state to get married in New York City - just the two of them, doing things their way. They chose a beautiful spring day in April for their elopement at NYC City Hall.
We met outside the City Clerk’s office downtown, and after a sweet, quick ceremony, they were officially married.
We took some time to wander the streets nearby - capturing a few iconic shots in front of the courthouse, along the cobblestones, and beneath the classic NYC architecture that makes this part of the city so timeless.
Afterward, we made our way uptown for portraits. First stop: Central Park and iconic Bethesda Terrace & Fountain.
As we took our pictures, strangers smiled, cheered, and offered congratulations to newlyweds . It was one of those moments where New York feels like the warmest place in the world.
Our last stop was the New York Public Library. With its timeless beauty and soft light, it gave us a quiet, elegant backdrop to end the morning.
As a photographer, these kinds of intimate weddings hold a special place in my heart.
